Down To The Waterline, γραμμένο από τον Mark Knopfler, το πρώτο κατά σειρά τραγούδι του άλμπουμ με τίτλο Dire Straits της ομότιτλης Βρετανικής μπάντας.
Ηχογραφήθηκε 13 Φεβρουαρίου με 5 Μαρτίου του 1978 και κυκλοφόρησε στις 7 Οκτωβρίου του ίδιου έτους.
Το τραγούδι κυκλοφόρησε και ως single το 1978, επίσης συμπεριλαμβάνεται και στο άλμπουμ Money For Nothing που κυκλοφόρησε τον Οκτώβρη του 1988.
